I made this design in 2006, a few computers ago. The only version that has survived those upgrades lives on Flickr, 1600x1303. This version has been blown up and monkeyed with to smooth it out.
I took that photo one afternoon in July, 2005, during a long walk along the Seine. I was feeling melancholy at the time, missing Lisa like crazy and being acutely aware of how blown away she would have been by the city. This guy walked past as I sat on a bench and drank a Chimay, his lost energy augmenting my mood. This scene captures that moment very well.
It will take some work to dig up the original photo, but I will get around to it eventually.
