I have removed the latest installment of the series on the Captain's Palace, "Booking a Room at the Memory Palace, part 4: Consider the Halibut," after having some discussion about it with a couple of people who were there at the time. A modified version might get posted at some time in the future.
In the meantime, I'm working on a post that will cover the history of 309 Belleville from construction to day in as much detail as I can find. Next step, finding out how one gets a history of the times a property was bought and sold. That's got to be public information, right? Archived by the city of Victoria? I guess I will find out.
