An introduction to a new series exploring our family’s long relationship with Thetis Island. Through photographs, memory, and historical research, I begin reconstructing how the land was first settled and how our family became a fixture every summer at camp on Lot 19 for 60 years. This sets the stage for a deeper investigation into the island’s early community and landscape.
